Atomic Mirror Speech to the Civil Society Forum at the Nuclear Weapons Free Zones Conference in Mexico

An Atomic Mirror delegation travelled to the historic Conference of States Parties to Nuclear Weapon Free Zones that met in Mexico City from 26-28 April 2005.Our delegation members were Pamela S. Meidell, Director of the Atomic Mirror, Dr. Gabino Aguirre, (former) Mayor, current city councilman of Santa Paula, California and Mr. Cesar Hernandez, Outreach Coordinator, Central Coast Alliance United for a Sustainable Economy. The Atomic Mirror delegation participated in the Conference as civil society observers and contributed to the civil society forum that brought the voice of global public opinion to the delegates.

We are delighted that in this same week, the Mexican Government announced their hosting of a meeting of all 100+ countries part of Nuclear Weapons Free Zones. This historic meeting will be held in Mexico City from April 26-28, just prior to the NPT Review Conference.
