The snow-white contrail streaking over Hiroshima's blue summer sky looked so dramatic, 13-year-old Shigeko Nimoto felt compelled to nudge the classmate walking at her side.
"I told my classmate, 'Look at the beautiful plane and like a white angel tail! It's so pretty,' " said Nimoto, whose last name is now Sasamori. "I didn't know it was an American plane."
